Arbitration Specialist
Location: Initially On-Site, Transition to Remote (Work From Home)

Position Overview:
GoAuto Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Arbitration Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in managing, initiating, and responding to intercompany arbitration cases within the insurance industry. As the primary point of contact for handling disputes between insurance companies, your work will focus on resolving issues efficiently through arbitration rather than litigation. This position requires someone with in-depth experience in liability claims and a strong understanding of the arbitration process.
This position will begin fully onsite for training. After completing training, the position will transition to a remote/work-from-home setup.
Applicants must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Louisiana, Nevada, Ohio, or Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiating and Responding to Intercompany Arbitration:
- Initiate Arbitration Cases: Prepare and submit arbitration requests, gather necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with industry protocols for initiating arbitration.
- Respond to Arbitration Cases: Handle arbitration claims initiated by other parties, reviewing claims, preparing defensive submissions, and protecting the company’s interests.
- Case Assessment and Strategy Development:
- Assess the merits of each case, identify legal and factual issues, and develop strategies for resolution.
- Advise on the best course of action for arbitration—whether to settle, negotiate, or litigate.
- Managing Liability Claims and Disputes:
- Utilize 3-5 years of liability claims experience to assess complex claims and identify issues related to coverage, negligence, and dispute resolution.
- Analyze claim details to determine how they may impact the arbitration process.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with internal teams, including claims adjusters, legal, and underwriting, to gather documentation and ensure proper representation.
- Engage directly with external arbitration panels, opposing parties, and industry members to facilitate the arbitration process.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all arbitration cases, including case files, settlement agreements, and arbitration awards.
- Prepare internal reports summarizing case outcomes, trends in disputes, and recommendations for future strategies.
- Continuing Education and Professional Development:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, changes in arbitration procedures, insurance regulations, and legal precedents.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years of Liability Claims Experience: Expertise in handling liability claims, including coverage issues, claim adjudication, and dispute resolution.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the insurance industry, intercompany disputes, arbitration practices, and claims handling.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, interacting with internal teams, and representing the company in arbitration proceedings.
- Analytical and Detail-Oriented: Ability to evaluate complex legal and factual issues, identify risks, and develop strategies for resolution.
- Problem-Solving and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to assess risks, negotiate settlements, and resolve disputes in a way that benefits the company.
